Snow in Charleston!

So I must admit I was very doubtful that we would see any snow, but I must say this is one time I don't mind being wrong! We had so much fun today in the snow! Sometimes I do miss Indiana when I see pictures from our friends, but today reminded me why I'm glad we don't live there anymore especially now that we have Connor...he HATES and I do mean HATES to wear anything other than jeans and a t-shirt...hat, gloves, boots, jacket, all were a screaming fit! Fortunately he got over it quickly but we did have some meltdowns when he was first getting used to the snow and how cold and wet it was.

Some of the things I forgot that I was reminded of today.....
1. that it is truly possible to feel 'cold to the bone'...my shoes and socks were soaked and thus my feet went absolute numb!
2. what a mess it makes...I had puddles everywhere and tons of laundry by the end of the day
3. my husband is much better making and throwing snowballs than I am
4. people in the south truly do not know how to drive in snow!
5. and the list could go on and on and on
But...homemade soup has never tasted so good and a hot shower has never felt better!

Also, there is nothing like snow to bring out the inner kid in all of us! We had a fun snowball fight..although the first snowball that was thrown by Eric hit my very expensive camera and I was not so happy but don't worry..I got my revenge! Connor didn't quite get what we were doing at first but then he had no problem joining in...that is until Daddy hit him near the face! We also enjoyed helping Connor make his first snowman and we had a great hill across the street for sledding/tubing.

Overall, it was a very memorable day for our family and Charleston..who knows the next time we will see 6 inches of snow here! It has been 10 years since the last snow fall so that means Connor could be a teenager the next time this happens!!!! Now that's a scary thought!

When Connor was a baby, our days were filled with lots of 'firsts'. I almost thought those days were behind us, but today reminded me that we still have lots of 'firsts' to go with him and each one is more special and fun than the last.

Here are a few pictures and videos and I will upload more later so make sure to check back and click on the Feb album.

God bless,
Becky
Look at the smile on that face!! He is so proud of his snowman!

Look at the size at the snowball he is throwing at me!

He kept asking to make a snowman but every time we got a ball started he just wanted to throw it at mommy!
